Course Code: DP117
This eight week photography course is an ideal starting point to learn the fundamental workings of the camera and darkroom processes. During this course you will understand how to use a photographic enlarger and how to develop film and paper using different exposure methods.
An all-purpose photography suite will enable you to shoot your photos in a totally controlled way to ensure perfect exposure and give you confidence in the processes involved.
This photography course will be a continuous revolving 8 week cycle as the numbers are on a maximum of eight due to workable space limitations in the darkroom. The numbers will be two groups of four; revolving around shooting and developing film and enlargements.
On completion of this course you will have a good understanding of using different settings on the camera and using studio lighting. You will have a working understanding of the functions of a darkroom suite and have a selection of hand printed final images.
This course is perfect as a starting point for other art and photography ventures including the digital photography course.
