Course Code: ARB117
Learn to work in the style of a practicing artist, discover their influences and apply techniques that are their signature.
This course will run weekly in an eight week cycle, promising insights into how an artist works from a beginning concept though to creating a finished piece. Your work will be shown alongside the artist in an end of course exhibition. This course will give you practical skills in presenting and selling your work to a wider audience in a gallery setting.
The artist works rent free at The Adair School of Art on a two monthly basis which will help to raise their profile in the Tairawhiti region as a practicing artist. The Adair School of Art recognises that artists need a space that feeds and nurtures creativity and hopes to reach out to others in need of this opening.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how an artist interprets their view on life, its meanings and eccentricities.
